The Devilled Egg Kitchen Academy has teamed up with Yoga Bristol to offer a unique Yoga Retreat featuring our amazing RAW fine dining. Come and join us!

Charlotte and Dom from Yoga Bristol are well established instructors, teaching yoga to over 300 people per week in the Bristol community. They have written and modelled for leading publications within the UK and USA, and Charlotte has served as an Ambassador for Sweaty Betty clothing. They also organise inspirational yoga retreats for the ultimate healthy lifestyle. This upcoming retreat takes place on the 1st March at Berwick Lodge in Bristol.


The Programme

The instructors will guide you through a nourishing yoga practice to include yogic breathing, postures, deep relaxation and meditation. The entire day is designed to recharge energy levels and to relax and refocus the mind. If you are a seasoned yoga practitioner this is a great opportunity to share a special Sunday with likeminded individuals and make new friends. Equally, if you are new to yoga this day away is a unique great opportunity to deepen your understanding of yoga and what this practice can do for you.

The Food

Barbora from The Devilled Egg will personally be preparing delicious and nourishing three-course RAW vegan lunch. RAW food is all showcasing ingredients at their unadulterated best, offering maximum flavour and ensuring no nutrients have been lost through cooking, pasteurisation or processing (such as might fit them into small microwavable containers!). We use the best, organic ingredients that are in season (wherever possible) to deliver a wholesome nutritional punch. In planning a special menu for this retreat we have gone beyond salads and smoothies, and have worked hard to bring a fine dining finesse to raw cuisine! In the afternoon, you will take part in a 2 hour hands-on introductory class to Raw cuisine, tasting as you go and being able to take some of your creations home to enjoy later.

Starter: Warming carrot and ginger soup

Main: Tacos with spiced veggie meat, coco guacamole, lemon and cashew cream, salad with grapefruit dressing

Dessert: Mexican chocolate brownie with chilli

Sample cookery class itinerary:

– juicing: how and what to juice and try your hand at: ‘Green power’ and ‘red cleanser’ juices

– smoothies: how to get the best out of your blender:  Carrot and banana smoothie with goji berries and an Apple detox smoothie

– soups: how to create raw, thick and warming soups

– raw crackers

– making giant veggie wraps with a selection of fillings to take home for dinner

– buckwheat scones with dried fruits, nuts and spices to take home for dinner
