Chocolate truffles

Home made truffles are a greta treat and surprisingly easy to make.

Makes 12


  • 80g dark chocolate, broken into pieces or grated
  • 80ml double cream
  • 15g unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoons of rum
  • 4 tablespoons of desiccated coconut
  • 4 tablespoons of chopped hazelnuts



Place the chocolate into a food processor until granular
Melt the cream, butter and rum
Whilst the motor is running, pour the cream mixture onto the chocolate
Add the yoghurt and blend until combined
Cool and place into the fridge overninght (at least 3 hours) or into a freezer for an hour
Roll into small balls
Roll either in desiccated coconut or hazelnuts
Keep in the fridge
