This is an amazingly simple dish, but very satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 400g potatoes, peeled
  • 75g of plain flour

Method

Chop the potatoes into small chunks, cover with water and bring to boil
Once they are falling apart, strain, reserving 80g of the cooking water
Pour the water back in and mash the potatoes with a fork
Sprinkle with the flour and roughly combine with a fork, cover and leave to cook for another 5 minutes
The mixture should now be sticking together and gloopy
Simply spoon on a plate and serve with butter, little sugar and poppy seeds or nuts, jam or even cheese!
