This is an incredibly versatile sauce – use as a marinade, dipping sauce or as a part of a glaze.
- 280ml water
- 50g tablespoons light brown sugar
- 60ml soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 tablespoons corn flour
- 4 tablespoons water
Combine the 280ml of water, sugar, soy sauce, honey, garlic and ginger in a pan and heat on a low heat
In a bowl, whisk together the corn flour and water until dissolved
Pour into the pan with the sauce
Keep on the medium heat until you reach the desired thickness (you can thin in out by adding a little water if necessary).
You can add sesame seeds or chilli flakes for a little heat and texture
