Yoghurt baked potatoes

This makes for a wonderful side dish.

Serves 2 as a side dish


  • 3 potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons of greek yoghurt
  • 1 tablespoon of chilli sauce or sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of pomegranate molasses
  • salt


Preheat the oven to 180C
Finely slice the garlic
Combine with the yoghurt, chilli sauce, cumin, paprika, molasses and salt to taste
Slice the potatoes into 3mm circles
Generously coat the potatoes in the yoghurt mixture
Oil or butter a small baking dish and layer the potatoes in
Cover with foil and bake for 20-30 minutes, until the potatoes are soft
Bake for another 20 minutes, uncovered, until golden brown
Combine the yoghurt and lemon juice and drizzle over the hot potatoes followed by the fresh herbs
