Sumac is a dried berry with a lovely tangy flavour.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoons of fresh thyme
  • 1 tablespoons of dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons of sumac
  • 1/2 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

Method

Remove the thyme leaves and chop finely
Thoroughly combine with the other ingredients
Keep in an airtight jar and use to bring Middle Eastern flavour to your cooking
