Paneer is a fresh curd or farmer’s cheese, commonly found in South Asia, especially India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghan and Nepal.

It is made simply by curdling boiling cow’s milk with lemon or lime juice. It is not aged, no extra flavour is added and it does not melt. However, it actually lends itself beautifully to cooking as it absorbs flavours well and essentially acts like a blank canvas ready for you to unleash your inner chef and brings an interesting chewy texture to your dishes.
