Here are a few simple ideas for a spooky sweet spread.

We made miniature toffee apples by dipping apple balls into caramel and then into meringue made with hot caramel (rather than hot sugar syrup) for a more toffee flavour. You can then blow torch these for a darker colour and more intense flavour.
Alongside these we made pomegranate and vodka jellies set in dead people ice cube trays – lightly frozen for an added visual effect.
The soil is made of crushed chocolate cookies and cinnamon&carrot&salt popcorn!
