Crunchy monkfish tacos

Fish tacos are delicious and a real treat on a Friday night (perhaps with a glass of cold beer).


  • 8 tortillas
  • 200g monkfish fillet (cut into 2cm chunks)
  • 3 tablespoons od masa harina
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cajun spice mix
  • 1 small mango, cut into thin strips
  • 1-2 jalapeños, sliced
  • 1 pickled red onion
  • 2 spring onions, sliced


Preheat oil for deep frying to 190C
Combine the Masa Harina with the Cajun spice mix
Coat the fish in the mix and deep fry for 3-4 minutes, until the fish is cooked through
Drain on a paper towel an sprinkle with a pinch of salt
Serve inside a warm tortilla with the mango, onions and jalapeño
